About
Spacious seafood spot in Dasan Hyundai Premier Campus Mall serving oversized seafood hot pots loaded with shellfish, cheese fondue, and savory broth.
Located on the first floor of Dasan’s Hyundai Premier Campus Mall, Jogaeui Sin 1973 caters to communal gatherings, offering generous underground parking, wide booth seating, and towering steamers of shellfish. Expanded from a previous neighborhood seafood operation, the bright dining room draws everyone from post-movie couples from the nearby CGV to family tables sharing dinner after trips to the local outlet mall. The undisputed centerpiece is the Daewang Jogae Jeongol (giant clam hot pot). Arriving under a massive metal lid fitted with a fifteen-minute tabletop timer, the pot steams open to reveal a crowded landscape of scallops, Manila clams, mussels, shrimp, whole squid, abalone, and skewered mul-tteok (rice cakes). Bundles of water dropwort (minari), crown daisy, and bean sprouts fragrance the broth, which can be tailored to a refreshing, mild flavor or a spicy red broth. Staff step in to snip the tender squid and pen shells (kijogae), laying the succulent morsels directly on the upturned shells alongside small ramekins of melted cheese fondue for dipping. While the seafood steams, tables often split crisp, pan-fried mini seafood scallion pancakes (haemul mini pajeon) or order icy slush-style soju and draft beer. Once the shellfish shells pile up, diners drop knife-cut kalguksu noodles into the concentrated, briny broth left simmering on the burner. For those who prefer dry heat over steam, the kitchen also turns out Kijogae Samhap—a platter that stacks pen-shell adductor muscles with beef brisket, kimchi, butter, and cheese directly over a tabletop griddle. An open self-service bar lets guests replenish banchan freely, stocking sweet corn salad, vinegared seaweed, and crisp kimchi alongside dipping sauces. Rounded out by kid-friendly offerings like pork cutlets and fried sides, the space comfortably bridges casual after-work drinks with family dinners anchored by hearty pots of bubbling seafood.
