Daerim Changgo
About
Converted warehouse gallery-cafe. Rotating art exhibitions + specialty pour-over.
Daerim Changgo is Seongsu's founding conversion: the 1970s rice warehouse turned gallery-café whose raw-brick halls, rotating art installations, and seasonal themes made it the district's original industrial landmark — the space that proved the neighborhood's factories could hold culture. The einspanner is the documented signature, iconic enough to anchor the menu, with the bread program as its intended companion; the one-drink-per-person policy manages the crowds the reputation guarantees. Queues run long even weekday afternoons — early arrival is standing counsel. Daily 11am-10pm. The photography draw is structural: warehouse volume, art at scale, light through industrial glass. As Seongsu pilgrimages go, this is the source document — the gallery-café where the district's whole aesthetic was drafted, still exhibiting, still pouring.
