About

Nogari-and-beer joint bridging Insadong and Euljiro drinking culture.

Insadong Nogari holds the Jonggak back-alley with 1980s wallpaper intact: Bruce Lee posters, Slam Dunk references, and the nopo (old-shop) atmosphere that newer retro bars can only imitate — this one simply never redecorated. The program is dried-fish orthodoxy: nogari as the anchor, myeongran-gui (grilled cod roe, sold by weight) as the premium flex, egg soup and oily sides as the soju ballast, and the two-item minimum as house custom. The bridge position is the identity — Insadong's tourist current one block, Euljiro's drinking DNA in the glass. Evening operation, tight-alley seating, cash or card. For the old-Seoul beer hall without the hipjiro markup: the posters never left, and neither should the formula.

Local tips

  • Classic Korean nogeori-focused tavern with affordable pricing
  • Must order 2+ items minimum; cod roe grilled (myeongran-gui) by weight is premium
  • Famous for nostalgic 80s decor—Bruce Lee posters and Slam Dunk references
  • Soju pairings: light egg soup or oily side dishes complement alcohol
  • Cash/card accepted; tight alley location in old Seoul—iconic nopo atmosphere
