Tucked along Ttukseom-ro near Jayang Station, Yukondo balances the hearty appetites of the Konkuk University and Seongsu neighborhoods with an exceptionally orderly, hospitable barbecue experience. Stepping inside, guests are immediately met with a butchering counter where meats are sliced fresh to order, setting an immediate tone of craft and cleanliness. Accommodating everything from quiet dinners to company gatherings of more than one hundred seats, the dining room is kept immaculate, supported by staff whose attentive, steady floor presence keeps the meal flowing smoothly. Yukondo takes its grilling methodology seriously, tailoring specific charcoals to match different cuts of beef and pork. Premium Hanwoo takes center stage with richly marbled salchisal (beef chuck flap) and ggotdeungsim (ribeye), which grill up tender and smoky over the hot embers. On the pork side, samgyeopsal and deormisal (pork neck meat) offer deep, juicy flavor kissed by charcoal smoke. Alongside the cuts for the grill, seasoned yukhoe (beef tartare) is a staple starter, while lunch hours draw steady neighborhood crowds for house-made daily side dishes, spicy jeyuk bokkeum, and deeply savory galbitang.
