Tungkol dito

Panlokal na Korean na kainan sa Sindang. May dalawang palapag, punuan kapag tanghalian.

The grill here works like nobody else's — two thick cast-iron grates stacked offset, one above the other, so the charcoal heat radiates up through metal that holds temperature for the full service. Once it's glowing, your meat sears without sticking, picks up that faint smokiness from the binchō-tan charcoal below, and finishes with edges that crisp rather than char. Staff handle the signature seodae-sal themselves: a bone-in cut from the chuck flap that looks like a flatfish when it stands upright on the grill, hence the name. They tilt it vertical while the fat renders, then lay it flat to finish, carving it tableside and resting the slices on a piece of roasted potato so nothing overcooks. The meat itself comes from an in-house wet-aging program — whole sides hang in the front window, get broken down daily, and land on your table with the kind of beefy sweetness you don't find at corner galbi joints. The room runs two floors: ground-level tables under white walls dotted with celebrity signatures, private rooms upstairs for parties of four to eight (available after 3 PM). Banchan skews sharp and crunchy — scallion kimchi with bite, sesame-leaf pickled cabbage, a loose potato salad — all built to cut through fat. Book through Naver a day ahead if you're coming Friday or Saturday; weekend slots disappear by early evening. Weekday arrivals before 5 PM usually skip the wait. The yuk-gaejang that comes as a side is robust enough to warrant ordering rice, and if you're finishing late, the wall-mounted tteok-degi (those chewy rice snacks you toast yourself) pair oddly well with a final round of soju. Card only, corkage-free if you bring wine.

Lokal na tip

  • Reserve via Naver booking 24 hours ahead—weekend tables fill by 5 PM; private rooms available for 4–8 guests upstairs.
  • Arrive early (before 5 PM) on weekdays to avoid 30+ min waits; staff grills signature seodae-sal tableside for optimal results.
  • Bring personal wine bottles (BYOB, corkage-free); pair Pinot-based reds with rich beef cuts for elevated experience.
  • Order banchan-heavy sides like pa-kimchi and yukgaejang chigae; request refills of radish pickle—they complement beef naturally.
  • Finish with complimentary Premium Ice Cream; grab wall-mounted tteok-degi for fun post-meal snack that pairs with soju.
